The Splash Academy
The Splash Academy is a centre dedicated to teaching swimming to children from birth to 5 years of age.
The venue and its facilities have been developed to ensure that families can enjoy learning to swim in a purpose-built environment. Our priority is to deliver an inclusive swim programme that will always remain family focussed.
The teaching programme has been holistically created to include child development and sensory experience, so, that our instructors can teach with individual needs in mind. Our approach is to develop strength, confidence, and a love of being in the water within a secure environment.
The Splash Academy is the perfect place to start your swimming journey and become part of our family. We will ensure your little ones have the opportunity to develop and learn with a team that are dedicated to making your experiences positive and rewarding.
Our Programme
Baby Bonding
Unique classes for new born babies, focussing on using warm water as the perfect sensory environment to relax baby and carer.
The classes will include baby massage and yoga techniques to encourage skin with skin contact and develop deeper connections between baby and carer.
Baby Swim
The baby courses start with developing confidence in water,
by making sure that they are happy and settled in this familiar environment.
The courses teach different swim techniques that will build stamina and muscle development. This will progress towards teaching independent swimming, learning
to be safe in the water and ensuring baby can develop hand to eye co-ordination and balance whilst in the water.
Toddler Swim
Classes are tailored to include the two main national
programmes for teaching swimming. The toddler
programme ensures that children develop the necessary life skills to remain safe in water.
The classes include a range of content that will support swim progression and continue to remain fun and enjoyable for your child.
Pre-School Swim
The final levels focus on preparing children for the big
pool. The lessons will ensure they are able to swim independently, have lots of confidence and have the stamina to swim widths and lengths.
Every child will be assessed and achieve swim badges for their continued efforts.
